D-Lead® Paint Test Kit:
The Choice for Lead Paint Testing is Clear
EPA Recognized and ETV Tested for use on drywall, plaster, wood, and metal surfaces.
THE choice when it comes to testing for lead based paint. Certified renovators now have another option for EPA approved lead testing kits.

Each D-Lead Paint Test Kit has the tools a certified renovator needs to determine the level of lead in paint during home renovation tasks.

- 24 individual tests in each kit.
- The presence of lead paint is determined quickly and easily.
- Also includes D-Wipe Prep Towels, which greatly reduce the chance of sample contamination.
On August 31st, the EPA recognized that, “when used by a Certified Renovator, the D-Lead® Paint Test Kit manufactured by ESCA Tech, Inc., can reliability determine regulated lead-based paint is not present on wood, ferrous metal, drywall, and plaster surface.”

The Kit meets the false negative performance criterion required in the 2008 Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule. And it quickly determines if a paint sample contains even less than the EPA lead limit.

EPA Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule
The EPA RRP Rule requires all contractors working on houses built before 1978 to test for, contain, clean up, and dispose of lead paint dust. Renovation, repair and painting activities may disturb painted surfaces and produce a lead exposure hazard.
Effective April 2010, all contractors who are renovating, repairing, and/or painting in houses built before 1978 need to be certified as a firm or renovator, and trained in lead containment and cleanup. The contractor doing the work must be certified, and workers must be certified. The Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP) changes how contractors go about working on certain buildings constructed before 1978.
